To take the exciting and growing vision of Christ Redeemer Church to the next level, we will undertake a substantial fundraising project: Flourish New England is a 3-year vision-driven initiative to support construction costs for a new facility as well as other aspects of CRC’s mission: church planting & revitalizing, and the pastoral residency program.

We are currently in the “seed phase” of this initiative, seeking initial contributions to strengthen our financial position as we begin.  Will you consider a preliminary gift to help underwrite early costs?

Why Do We Give?

We give as an expression of what we have been given.

We give out of the abundance of what God has already given to us (Proverbs 3:9-10; 1 Corinthians 4:7). We consider the Israelites who were called to build the tabernacle (Exodus 35-36), and we hope for this same spirit of unity and generosity. They understood that they had been asked to live as the people of God, standing as a testimony to the world of God’s goodness and love for his people. As this vision catches hold, a diverse people is drawn to a common cause, and their generosity explodes. Moses asks each person to bring what they can, and over and over we see “all the people of Israel brought what they could” whether it was skills or gold or wood, etc.

We give as an expression of our common vision.

This is an opportunity for us to come together as a family with a common cause and common heart— with a desire to serve God, to give glory to His name and out of that to be abundantly gracious not only in our financial resources, but also in our desire to serve each other and our neighbors. This is our moment to bless not only our generation, but also many generations to come.

We give sacrificially as a way of showing God’s worth to us.

Whether we give $1 or $1,000,000 is not the point. God looks at our heart, and our heart is revealed by our level of sacrifice. As with the “poor widow” and her “two very small copper coins” (Luke 21), Jesus looks to the greatness of our sacrifice and not the greatness of the amount. It is by our sacrifice that we worship him (Romans 12:1).

or $1,000,000), in this sacrificial spirit of unity.
